JOHN ADELMAN – The artist will have a solo exhibition with Holly Johnson Gallery in January of 2009. Recent Exhibitions include; Drawing Conclusions, Group Exhibition, Holly Johnson Gallery, August - September 2007, the Big Show at Lawndale Art Center in Houston, TX, The Edge Of Excess at the Foundry in St. Charles MO, and New and Used at Arkansas State University's Bradbury Gallery. Adelman will have a solo show at Montgomery College in Conroe, TX. 

TERRY ALLEN continues to work on Ghost Ship Rodez, a project he began in France (2006) at MASS MOCA in January 2008. The multimedia performance presents his fictional story of a horrific voyage between Ireland and Dublin taken by the French theater visionary Antonin Artaud in 1937. A major book about Terry Allen and his art will be published by the University of Texas Press in 2010.

DAVID AYLSWORTH – Is it the real turtle soup?, Solo exhibition at Holly Johnson Gallery in December of 2008 and a solo exhibition, Fugue for Tinhorns Sounds Like Frere Jacques at Ellen Noel Museum in Odessa, Texas from September – November of 2008.

WILLIAM BETTS – The artist was recently included in Austin's Texas Biennial 2007 and was only one of three artists selected for the second time. Work included Watch it! When Art and TV Meet at SUNY Stonybrook, NY; and SUPERvision: Responding to the rise of Surveillance Technology at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire (catalog). Winner of Biennial Southwest, The Albuquerque Museum, Neal Benezra, Juror and Curator, September – January 7, 2007.  Work was included in a show at the Salt Lake Art Center entitled FabAb: New Abstraction, March 30 - May 30, 2007.

ANN CONNER – Solo exhibition of woodcuts in Travis Tower Lobby Exhibit, Travis Tower, Houston, TX, April–July, 2008; Art & Social Conscience: Holocaust, Cameron Art Museum, Wilmington, NC, May–October, 2008; will exhibit in Summer Group Exhibit, DFA District Fine Arts, Washington, DC, August, 2008. Recent exhibits are Troisiéme Triennale du Bois Gravé Contemporain, Musée Pierre Noël, Saint-Dié-des-Voges, France, 2007; and Ann Conner Recent Woodcuts, Printed In Beauty, Cameron Art Museum, 2006–07. The artist has a Solo Exhibit, New Elements Gallery, Wilmington, NC, early 2009; a new suite of six woodcuts Rosewood, The Grenfell Press, New York, NY; and four large-format woodcuts Parkwood, published by Flatbed Press, Austin, TX—both suites available late summer 2008.

DORNITH DOHERTY – Solo exhibition with forty page catalog at Holly Johnson Gallery in December 2007 and solo exhibition at McMurtrey Gallery in April 2007. Her work was featured in a two person show at the UNT Artspace in Fort Worth, entitled UNT/TCU Conversations, Luther Smith and Dornith Doherty: Reverberations on Landscapes, in September of 2007. Recent group exhibitions include Fathom: Exploring the Depths of Water as Concept, Content, and Context, Texas State University- San Marcos Art Gallery October 2007, and Pictures of Things: Contemporary Still Life Photography at the Visual Arts Center in Portsmouth, Virginia, June - August 2008. Upcoming solo show at the Galveston Arts Center in October - November of 2008.

JAMES DRAKE – Border of Desire, an exhibition of recent drawings and videos, will be held in October 2007 at Holly Johnson Gallery. A major book about James Drake and his art will be published by the University of Texas Press in 2009. His work was included in the Venice Biennale in 2007.

J BENNETT FITTS – Solo exhibition, No Lifeguard on Duty, Holly Johnson Gallery, June of 2007. PDN named the artist one of thirty top emerging photographers.

TOMMY FITZPATRICK - Solo Exhibition, Charles Cowles Gallery in New York, September- October 2007. Solo Exhibition, Inman Gallery in Houston, Fall 2008.

CHRISTOPHER FRENCH - Solo show in February of 2008 at Hiram Butler Devin Borden Gallery in Houston. The Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas acquired a painting for their collection in 2007.

VIRGIL GROTFELDT – Solo Show at Wade Wilson Gallery in January of 2008.

OTIS JONES – Group exhibition, Delineation, at Holly Johnson Gallery in February of 2008. Solo exhibition forthcoming in late 2009.

CHARLES MARY KUBRICHT – In February of 2008 two major paintings will be on display in the group exhibition, Time is of the Essence, at the Asheville Art Museum in North Carolina.

PAHO MANN - In February of 2008 a group of ‘Circle K’ photographs will be included in the exhibition, Worlds Away: New Suburban Landscapes, at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. The exhibition will travel to the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh.

MIKE OSBORNE – In Spring 2008, the artist returned to Beijing with the support of the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts. New images from his ongoing project there will be featured in a September 2008 exhibition at the Houston Center for Photography. In October 2008, the artist will begin an eight-month residency at Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, Germany.

MARGO SAWYER - Solo show at Holly Johnson Gallery, June-August of 2008. One Arts Plaza in Dallas commissioned the artist to do an installation for the residential tower in 2007. Unveiling “Synchronicity of Color” in Houston’s new 11 acre park, Discovery Green, in April of 2008.

MARK SHEINKMAN – Group show, Delineation, at Holly Johnson Gallery in February of 2008. Solo show at von Lintel Gallery in New York in November of 2007.

WILLIAM STEIGER – Destination, Solo show held at Holly Johnson Gallery in October of 2008. CASEY WILLIAMS – Solo show, New Work, at Holly Johnson Gallery in March of 2008. Renaissance Boston acquired two mammoth works for their hotel in January of 2008.

JOAN WINTER – Solo show, Counterpoint, at Holly Johnson Gallery in May of 2008. The Museum of Texas Tech University acquired a Joan Winter monotype for their collection in 2007.

ANDREW YOUNG - In 2007 his work was acquired for the permanent collections of the McNay Art Museum, San Antonio, TX, The Miami Art Museum, and the San Antonio Museum of Art.
